When you sign in to measureQuick on a new device, the app pulls your settings from the cloud. The following settings sync automatically:
These settings travel with your account. Log in on a replacement phone, a borrowed tablet, or a second device, and your preferences are already in place.
Some data is device-specific and does not transfer through the cloud:
This separation is intentional. Bluetooth pairings depend on the physical radio in each device and cannot be transferred. Cached data exists specifically because it has not yet been synced to the cloud.
When you sign in to measureQuick on a device, the app downloads your current settings from the cloud. This happens once during login. You do not need to configure anything manually.
After the initial login, settings sync periodically in the background while the app is open and connected to the internet. When you change a setting on one device, the change uploads to the cloud. The next time your other device syncs, it picks up the updated setting.
Background sync does not happen instantly. Allow a few minutes for changes to propagate between devices. If you need the change immediately on another device, use the manual sync option.
To force a settings sync, go to Settings and pull down to refresh (or tap the sync/refresh button, depending on your app version). This triggers an immediate upload of your current settings and a download of any changes from the cloud.

Many technicians carry a phone for quick readings and a tablet for detailed project work. Both devices can be signed in to the same measureQuick account simultaneously.
How this works in practice:
You do not need to sign out of one device before using the other. Both can be active at the same time.

measureQuick distinguishes between two levels of settings:
If a company-wide setting and a personal setting overlap (for example, report branding), the company-wide setting takes precedence. Personal settings control everything that is specific to how you interact with the app.
A conflict occurs when you change the same setting on two devices before either one syncs. For example, you set temperature units to Fahrenheit on your phone and Celsius on your tablet while both are offline.
When both devices reconnect:
To avoid unexpected changes:
Confirm you are signed in with the same account on the new device. After signing in, wait for the initial sync to complete. If settings still do not appear, go to Settings and trigger a manual sync. Check your internet connection if the sync fails.
Another device (or a company-wide setting update from your manager) may have overwritten your change during sync. Check the setting on all your devices and make the change on the most recently synced device so it takes priority.
Bluetooth pairings are device-specific. You must pair each probe and tool on each device separately. The toolbox configuration (which tools are in your list) syncs, but the physical Bluetooth connection does not.
Contact your account manager or company admin. They can push updated company-wide settings that override personal preferences where applicable. For personal-only settings (like units of measure), you will need to change them manually.
