ACCA QI Setup

What Is ACCA QI?

ACCA Quality Installation (QI) verifies that HVAC installations meet ACCA Manuals J (load calculation), S (equipment selection), and D (duct design). measureQuick is the platform for ACCA QI certification. It tracks compliance, flags gaps, and generates certification documents.

Requirements

  • Subscription: Active measureQuick Premier Services subscription ($49/user/month)
  • Add-on: ACCA Option activated (see pricing below)
  • Role: Manager or Owner to enable; any team member can run QI workflows
  • Workflow: Installation workflow (A/C, Heat Pump, or Gas Furnace)

This is in addition to the $49/user/month Premier Services subscription. The QI add-on covers unlimited VEO, VSP, and Energy Star certificates for the company.

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Activate the ACCA QI Add-On

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Locate the ACCA QI tier beneath your Premier Services plan.
  3. Tap Add QI Tier and confirm.

Step 2: Enter ACCA Membership Details

Go to Settings > Company Settings > ACCA QI. Enter your ACCA Member ID and Company Name exactly as registered with ACCA. Tap Save.

Step 3: Run a QI-Eligible Workflow

  1. Create a project with an Installation workflow.
  2. Complete the system profile with full equipment nameplate data.
  3. Connect probes and take measurements.
  4. Navigate to QI Status in the project.

The QI Status checklist is color-coded: Green (met), Red (not met), Gray (missing data).

Step 4: Attach Documentation

In the project view, upload your Manual J and Manual S documentation where prompted.

Step 5: Generate Certificates

Once all requirements show green, tap Generate QI Certificate. Certificate types:

  • VEO (Verified Equipment Operation) - startup verification using current ductwork
  • VSP (Verified System Performance) - full ACCA Standard 5 system certification. Requires Manual J, S, and AHRI documentation. Start VSP projects from measureQuick Cloud > New Project > VSP.
  • Energy Star Verified Installation - stricter requirements beyond VSP

Certificates are stored in the project record and accessible from the cloud dashboard.

Tips & Common Issues

QI Status shows gray items after measurements

Gray means missing data, not failed. Check for blank equipment nameplate fields, missing refrigerant type, or unattached Manual J/S documentation.

I don't see the ACCA QI option

Confirm Premier Services is active and you are logged in as Manager or Owner.

Can I use QI for service calls?

No. ACCA QI applies to new installations and major system replacements. Use an Installation workflow.
