The Navigation Drawer is a sliding panel anchored to the bottom of the mQ+ screen. It is available whenever you are inside a project or in Standalone Mode.
To open the drawer:
The drawer is a resizable panel. Drag the handle up to expand it and reveal workflow steps, project details, and action buttons. The bottom of the screen always shows a row of six icons that provide quick access to tools without leaving your current workflow screen.
To collapse the drawer, drag the handle back down.
Tip: The drawer stays accessible throughout your entire workflow. You do not need to navigate to a specific screen to use it. Whether you are on Grid View, Trending, System View, or a checklist step, one swipe opens the drawer.
The leftmost icon in the drawer is the Flashlight toggle.
Tap it once to turn on your device's flashlight. Tap it again to turn it off. This is useful when you need to read a data plate, inspect wiring, or check a serial number in a dark mechanical closet or attic.

The flashlight stays on until you tap the icon again, even if you close the drawer. You do not need to keep the drawer open to use the flashlight.
Tip: The flashlight activates your device's rear LED. If your phone has a case that partially covers the LED, you may need to adjust it for full brightness.
The Actions icon opens a menu with workflow-level controls. These are functions that apply to your current session rather than to a specific measurement or component.
Tap Actions to see the available options:
Tip: Restart Trends does not delete your measurement data. It only clears the visual trend lines on the Trending View so you can see fresh data accumulate after a system change.
The Camera icon opens the Photo Documentation checklist, an mQ+ Standard Checklist that organizes photo and video capture by component.
Tap Camera to open the Photo Documentation screen. The checklist presents a list of system components (Thermostat, Electrical System, Air Distribution System, Air Filtration System, Static Pressure Probe Placement, Condensate Drain System, Indoor Equipment, Refrigerant Charge, and others). Each component has icons for capturing photos and videos directly.

Each item is marked as Optional by default. Tap a component to capture a photo or video for that specific part of the system. The media attaches to that component and appears organized by component in the final report.
Tip: The Photo Documentation checklist is an mQ+ Standard Checklist. You can customize it via About > Company-wide Checklists to add, remove, or reorder components to match your documentation requirements.
The bottom icon row includes two separate icons for voice and AI features:
To use AI Assist:
AI Assist panel open showing a text conversation with diagnostic analysis, plus Diagnostics, How-To, and Knowledge quick-action buttons
AI Assist is restricted to measureQuick-related tasks. It will not answer questions outside of HVAC diagnostics and the measureQuick platform.
For a full walkthrough of AI Assist capabilities, see I14 (AI Assist).
Tip: AI Assist works best when you have probes connected and measurements flowing. The more data the AI has, the more specific its analysis. If you ask a question before connecting probes, the response will be limited to general guidance.
Tip: You can use AI Assist hands-free. Tap the mic, speak your question while your hands are occupied, and listen to the response. This is particularly useful when you are working inside a unit and cannot easily tap the screen.
The drawer provides quick access to project-level notes and to-do lists. These are tied to the current project and sync to measureQuick Cloud when the project is saved.
[Visual Reference] The Notes panel in the Navigation Drawer shows a free-text service note entry area and a to-do list below it. Completed items display a checkmark. Notes and to-do items are saved with the project and sync to measureQuick Cloud.
Notes and lists are saved with the project. If you exit and return to the same project later, your notes and list items are still there.
The Navigation Drawer is only available in the mQ+ interface. If you are using mQ Classic, the drawer does not appear. Switch to mQ+ via Settings by tapping the mQ+ card at the top of the Settings screen (see B17).
The drawer is also only visible when you are inside a project or in Standalone Mode. It does not appear on the mQ+ home screen or settings screens.
If you find yourself opening the drawer unintentionally while scrolling through measurement data, try scrolling from the middle of the screen rather than from the bottom edge. The drawer responds to swipe-up gestures originating near the bottom of the screen.
Component-based organization applies when you are inside a project with equipment profiled. If you are in Standalone Mode and have not yet profiled the system, photos may not be assigned to a specific component. Profile the system first, then capture documentation.
Check that measureQuick has microphone permission on your device. On iOS, go to Settings > measureQuick > Microphone. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > measureQuick > Permissions > Microphone. Also verify that your device is not in a low-signal area - AI Assist requires an internet connection to process queries.
