Pricing Overview

measureQuick uses a per-user subscription model. There are two tiers: Basic (free) and Premier ($49/user/month). The subscription is month-to-month with no long-term commitment.

The transition from the legacy QBit pay-per-use system to subscriptions happened in January 2025. If your company previously used QBits, those have been sunset. All accounts now use the subscription model.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Understand the Basic Tier (Free)

Every measureQuick account starts on Basic. It includes:

  • Bluetooth smart tool connectivity - connect multiple brands simultaneously via Direct Connect
  • Gauge and grid measurement views - blue/green/red indicators showing where readings fall relative to targets
  • Target zone display - design targets and allowable ranges for every measurement
  • Quick tests - all test types with free PDF Classic Reports
  • Diagnostics - performance metrics with design targets and allowable ranges
  • mQ Assist - basic AI diagnostic guidance
  • Screenshots - unlimited
  • Save to Cloud - benchmark storage at no cost
  • Demo Mode - for in-house training with sample data
  • 24 real-time measurements - superheat, subcooling, static pressure, airflow, capacity, EER, and more

Basic gives you enough to connect your tools, take measurements, and see diagnostic indicators. It does not include branded reports, the Vitals Score, AI System Profiler, cloud project storage, CRM integrations, or live data streaming.

Step 2: Understand the Premier Tier ($49/user/month)

Premier includes everything in Basic plus the features needed for professional commissioning and team operations:

Feature Description

Step 3: Calculate Your Monthly Cost

Premier uses per-user licensing. Each person who needs Premier features requires their own seat.

Team Size Monthly Cost
1 user $49
3 users $147
5 users $245
10 users $490
25 users $1,225

You can mix Basic and Premier users within the same company. For example, if you have 10 technicians but only 5 need Premier features right now, purchase 5 seats and assign them. The other 5 remain on Basic.

Tip: You can add or remove seats at any time. Many companies start with a pilot group of 2-3 technicians, then expand once they see the results. Changes take effect on the next billing cycle.

Step 4: Review ACCA QI Certificate Add-On Pricing

For companies pursuing ACCA Quality Installation compliance, a separate QI add-on is available. This is a company-level subscription, not per-user.

Eligibility Monthly Price
ACCA member AND QA Contractor $100/month
ACCA member OR QA Contractor $150/month
Non-member $200/month

The QI add-on includes unlimited ACCA QI certificates: Verified Equipment Operation (VEO), Verified System Performance (VSP), and Energy Star verified installation certificates. See ACCA QI Setup for configuration details.

Step 5: Check for Partner Discounts

NCI (National Comfort Institute) members receive discounts on Premier subscriptions:

  • NCI Basic members: $25 off per month
  • NCI Learning Excellence members: $50 off per month (Premier is free with this membership)

Marketing affiliates and partner links from TruTech Tools and other HVAC distributors may also offer promotional pricing. Check with your distributor or visit measurequick.com/pricing for current offers.

Step 6: Justify the Cost with ROI

The most common question from owners is whether the subscription pays for itself. The short answer: one prevented callback per month covers the cost of a Premier seat.

The math:

  • Premier cost: $49/user/month
  • Average callback cost: $500+ (truck roll, labor, parts, customer dissatisfaction)
  • Breakeven: 1 prevented callback per month

But callbacks are just one piece. Contractors consistently report broader returns:

Callback reduction:

"We went from 4% callback range down to under 2%. Do the math on that - MeasureQuick is an absolute fantastic return on investment." - Chad Simpson, Owner, Simpson Salute Heating and Air ($17M revenue, ~100 employees)

Ticket size increase:

"If you don't double your ticket averages on measureQuick, I don't know what you're doing." - Jacob Oppelt, Owner, Best Neighbor Home Services (service average from $550 toward $1,250)

Revenue growth:

"It's been huge for our business. We are able to slow down and actually get bigger service and install tickets because we're finding more problems." - Contractor, HVAC ADHD podcast

Training acceleration:

"Within 30 days I can get new techs into a truck and on their own. I don't have to be right there beside them." - Ben Chouinard, Service Manager, Simpson Salute (cable installer to field-ready tech in 3 weeks)

How contractors absorb the cost: Most contractors add $5 to their diagnostic fee. At $49/month, that is 10 service calls to break even on the subscription alone, before accounting for any prevented callbacks, increased ticket sizes, or reduced training costs.

ROI Evidence from the Field

The following metrics come from contractors who shared their results during measureQuick training events. Individual results vary, but the pattern is consistent across multiple companies and geographies.

Close rates:

  • One contractor's team improved cold call close rates from 20% to 50% after adopting measureQuick. Technician-generated leads closed at nearly 100% when the data clearly showed the problem to the customer. (Train the Trainer, Event 13)

Callback reduction:

  • The same contractor reported a 0.5% callback rate. The industry average is 5-10%, and 2% is considered excellent. Each avoided callback saves an estimated $700-1,200 in truck rolls, labor, and parts. (Event 13)

Bottom line growth:

  • Multiple companies across training events (Events 2, 10, 14) reported 40% or greater bottom-line increases on service calls after implementing measureQuick with consistent probe deployment.

Workforce development:

  • One contractor built a company around younger, less experienced technicians (18-19 year olds out of trade school) by equipping them with probe sets and tablets running measureQuick. The guided workflows compensated for their limited field experience. (Event 13)

Pricing context: Training event pricing references include $29/tech (Event 14, September 2025) and $49/user (Event 2, February 2026). Current pricing is $49/user/month for Premier Services. See measurequick.com/pricing for the latest.

Tips & Common Issues

Why did measureQuick move from QBits to subscriptions?

The QBit pay-per-use model created several problems: confusion about what QBits were, unpredictable monthly costs for budgeting, and a misaligned incentive where measureQuick revenue increased when technicians used the platform less often. The $49/month subscription gives unlimited usage and predictable costs.

Should I start with Basic or go straight to Premier?

If you just want to connect your Bluetooth tools and see diagnostic indicators, Basic works. If you need branded reports, cloud storage, CRM integration, Vitals Score, AI profiling, or team management features, you need Premier. Most companies doing commissioning or quality-focused service choose Premier.

How does Premier compare to doing nothing?

Consider what callbacks cost. If your callback rate is 4% and you run 100 installs per month, that is 4 callbacks at $500+ each, totaling $2,000/month in rework. Reducing that to 2% saves $1,000/month. With 5 Premier seats at $245/month, you are $755 ahead, before counting increased ticket sizes and improved customer reviews.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. There is no annual contract or cancellation fee. If you cancel, your account reverts to Basic at the end of the billing period. Your data remains in the cloud, but you lose access to Premier features until you resubscribe.

Is there a free trial?
