measureQuick runs on most modern phones and tablets. Check that your device meets these minimums.

Tablet support: measureQuick works on iPads and Android tablets. Tablets display more data on screen at once, and iPads support split-screen multitasking. If you have the choice, a tablet is a better field experience for reviewing diagnostics and generating reports.

Tip: If you cannot find the app, your device may not meet the minimum OS version. Update your operating system first, then search again.
When you first open measureQuick, it will request several permissions. Grant each one for full functionality.
| Permission | Required? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Bluetooth | Yes | Connects to smart tools (Fieldpiece, Testo, NAVAC, and others). Without Bluetooth, you cannot receive live measurement data. |
| Location | Yes | Provides weather data for your test site and populates site information. Location data also supports outdoor ambient temperature lookup. |
| Camera | Yes | Used for photo documentation of equipment, nameplates, and the AI Profiler feature that identifies system components from photos. |
| Notifications | Optional | Alerts you when a test is shared with you or when system updates are available. Not required for core functionality. |
iOS: Each permission appears as a system dialog on first launch. Tap Allow or Allow While Using App for Bluetooth, Location, and Camera.
Android: Permissions may appear during installation or on first use of each feature. Select Allow for each one. If you accidentally deny a permission, go to Settings > Apps > measureQuick > Permissions to change it.

Tip: If you deny Bluetooth permission, you can still use measureQuick for manual data entry and report review. But you will not be able to receive live readings from connected smart tools.

To enable automatic updates: in the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Settings > Network preferences > Auto-update apps.
Tip: You can also check for updates from within the app. Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom to find Check for Updates, which directs you to the App Store or Google Play if an update is available.
If your app version is more than two releases behind, some features may not work as expected. Update before starting a job.
You do not need smart tools connected to explore the app. Demo Mode populates sample data into any workflow so you can learn the interface before going to the field.
With Demo Mode enabled, the app provides pre-loaded demo data scenarios you can apply from Settings. Available scenarios include A/C Normal Operation (R-410A), A/C Normal Operation (R-22), A/C Normal Operation Non-Invasive, Heat Pump: Heating, Gas Furnace, Refrigeration, A/C Overcharged TXV System, and A/C Low Airflow with Undercharge (Fixed Metering Device). Use "Reset Data" to clear demo data and start fresh. You can walk through an entire workflow, view diagnostics, and generate a sample report.

Your device's operating system may be too old. measureQuick requires iOS 15.0+ or Android 10+. Update your OS and search again. If your device cannot update to those versions, it is not supported.
Confirm that Bluetooth permission is granted to measureQuick. On iOS, check Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth and verify measureQuick is listed and enabled. On Android, check Settings > Apps > measureQuick > Permissions > Nearby devices (or Bluetooth, depending on your Android version).
Also confirm that Bluetooth is turned on globally in your device settings.
Grant location permission set to "While Using App" (iOS) or "Allow" (Android). If location is already enabled, confirm your device has GPS or network-based location turned on. Indoor locations sometimes have poor GPS signal.
If you bought a new device and transferred your apps, measureQuick may not work correctly because not all library data transfers in that process. Delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play. After reinstalling, confirm that all app permissions (Bluetooth, Location, Camera) are enabled in your device settings, then log in again.
measureQuick stores project photos and cached data locally. If storage is a concern, periodically review your saved projects and remove completed ones you no longer need on the device. Cloud-synced projects remain accessible from the web.
Both work. Tablets show more data per screen, which helps when reviewing diagnostics, multi-zone data, or generating reports. Phones are easier to carry while working at the equipment. Many technicians use a phone in the field and a tablet for report review and customer walkthroughs.
