Sync Troubleshooting: Projects Won't Load & Data Recovery
Projects Not Loading or Stuck on "Loading Projects"
- Check your internet connection. Cloud-synced projects require a data connection to load. Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data.
- Force-close and reopen the app. This clears the sync queue and triggers a fresh load.
- Wait 1-2 minutes. Large project lists take time to sync, especially after a long offline period or on the first load after reinstalling.
- Check your account. Go to Settings and confirm you are logged into the correct account. If you have multiple accounts (personal vs company), you may be viewing the wrong project list.
- Restart your phone. A restart clears networking and background process issues that can block sync.
Old Projects Disappeared
Projects stored in the cloud are never deleted automatically. If older projects are not visible:
- Check filters. If you have a date or status filter active, older projects may be hidden. Clear all filters and search for the project by name or address.
- Check your account. Confirm you are on the same account (and same company) where the projects were created. Projects are tied to the user account that created them.
- Premier lapsed? If your subscription expired, cloud sync is unavailable. Projects still exist on the server but will not load until Premier is reactivated. Projects saved only to the device (never synced) remain on the device regardless of subscription status.
Projects Not Syncing to Cloud
- Premier required. Cloud sync is a Premier feature. Free accounts save projects to the device only.
- Internet connection. Sync requires an active connection. Projects saved offline will sync automatically when connectivity is restored.
- "Sync" indicator. Look for the sync icon or status in the project list. A spinning icon means sync is in progress. A checkmark means synced. An error icon means sync failed.
- Force a sync: Open the project, make a minor change (add a note), and save. This pushes the project back into the sync queue.
Jobs Not Grading or Scoring
If a completed project shows no Vitals Score or pass/fail results:
- Check probe count. Vitals scoring requires 9 or more probe channels for cooling and heating tests, or 7 or more for gas furnace tests. Projects with fewer probes get measurements but no Vitals Score.
- Missing critical measurements. If key values are missing (e.g., no refrigerant pressures), the app cannot calculate a complete score.
Data Loss After a Crash or Forced Close
measureQuick saves test data when you tap Save. If the app crashes or closes before you save:
- Unsaved measurements from the active session are lost.
- Previously saved tests and projects are not affected.
- Save early and often. Tap Save after completing each major step, especially before moving between indoor and outdoor measurements.
Sync After Reinstalling the App
If you reinstall measureQuick:
- Log in with your existing account.
- Cloud-synced projects will reload automatically (may take a few minutes for large project histories).
- Projects that were saved only to the device (never synced) are not recoverable after reinstall. Only cloud-synced data is preserved.
