How to Create and Use Custom Checklists
Custom checklists let your company add its own required steps, photos, and notes to measureQuick workflows, so every technician completes the same items on every job. Checklists are a Premier Services feature, introduced in version 3.6.
Checklists are company-wide. One administrator builds them, and they appear inside the workflows for everyone on the company account.
Before you start
- You need measureQuick version 3.6 or later. See the 3.6 release notes if you have not updated.
- Creating or editing checklists requires an administrator or account manager role. Technicians can complete checklist items but cannot edit them.
- Your company needs an active Premier Services subscription. See the Guide to measureQuick's Premier Services.
Create or edit a checklist in the app
- From the main screen, tap the user icon in the upper left corner to open your account settings.
- As an administrator or account manager, you will see company-wide options that regular technicians do not. Open the checklists section.
- You will see the standard checklists that ship with measureQuick, such as photo documentation and visual inspection. You can modify a standard checklist or create your own from scratch.
- Choose which workflow types the checklist applies to: Cooling Vitals, Cooling Service, Gas Furnace, Heat Pump Heating, Visual Documentation, and more.
- Add your items. Each item can be:
- A checkbox
- A photo
- A video clip up to 30 seconds
- For each item you can also mark it required, add a notes field, and set whether it is expanded or collapsed by default.
- Set where in the workflow the items appear: beginning, before measurements, after measurements, or end.
- Save. Changes are live for the whole company, so build and test carefully before rolling a checklist out to your team.
You can also build and edit checklists in mQ Cloud at cloud.measurequick.com.
Where checklists appear on the job
Technicians do not need to go looking for checklists. When you run a workflow the checklist applies to, its items appear inside the workflow at the position the administrator set (beginning, before measurements, after measurements, or end). Complete the items as you reach them; required items must be completed like any other required workflow step.
If you do not see your checklist
- Confirm the app is on version 3.6 or later on the technician's device (user icon, then Check for updates).
- Confirm the checklist is assigned to the workflow type the technician is running. A checklist assigned to Cooling Service will not appear in a Gas Furnace workflow.
- Confirm your company's Premier Services subscription is active.
If you are stuck, email support@measurequick.com with your company name and the workflow you are running.
