What You'll Need

  • Device: iPhone (iOS 15+) or Android phone/tablet (Android 10+) with measureQuick installed
  • App version: v3.5 or later
  • Account: A measureQuick account (see Installing the measureQuick App)
  • Subscription: Basic Free reports are available to all users; Subscription reports require Premier Services ($49/user/month)
  • Company logo: Upload via cloud.measurequick.com (optional but recommended)
  • Time: 5-10 minutes to configure

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open Report Settings

  1. Open the measureQuick app.
  2. Tap the Settings gear icon.
  3. Scroll to the Report Settings / PDF Options section.

Report settings control the appearance and content of the PDF reports you generate after completing a test. These reports are the primary customer-facing deliverable - what the homeowner sees as documentation of your work.

Step 2: Choose Your Report Type

Tap Report Type to select:

  • Basic Free - Available to all users regardless of subscription. Includes essential test data and pass/fail results. Limited customization.
  • Subscription - Available with any paid tier (Premier Services at $49/user/month). Includes full branding, detailed measurement layouts, Vitals Score, and complete customization options.

The Subscription report is more detailed and professional. It includes the color-coded Vitals Score, full measurement breakdowns, and all branding options described below. If your company uses Premier Services, select Subscription.

Joe Medosch's recommendation: Subscription. The additional detail and branding produce a more professional deliverable for homeowners.

Step 3: Configure Report Branding

These settings control the branded elements on your PDF reports.

Include Company Logo - Toggle ON to display your company logo on the report cover page and headers. The logo must be uploaded through cloud.measurequick.com under Company settings. If no logo is uploaded, this toggle has no effect.

Include Profile Picture - Toggle ON to display the technician's profile photo on the report. This personalizes the report and helps homeowners associate the report with the person who performed the work.

Circular Profile Photo - Toggle ON to crop the profile photo into a circle. Toggle OFF for a standard rectangle. This is a visual preference.

To upload or change your company logo:

  1. Log in to cloud.measurequick.com with a Company Admin or Service Manager account.
  2. Navigate to Company settings.
  3. Upload your logo file.
  4. The logo syncs to all technicians in the company.

To upload or change your profile photo:

  1. In the app, go to Settings > mQ Account > Upload Profile Picture.
  2. Select or take a photo.
  3. The profile photo also syncs to cloud.measurequick.com.

Joe Medosch's recommendations: Include Company Logo ON, Include Profile Picture ON. Both personalize the report and reinforce your company brand. Profile photos build trust with homeowners.

Step 4: Configure Report Content Sections

These toggles control which sections appear in the generated PDF.

Include Cover Page - Toggle ON to add a branded cover page. The cover page shows your company logo, technician name, customer address, date, and a summary header.

Include Photo Page(s) - Toggle ON to include photos captured during the project. Photos are organized into pages based on the Number of Photos Per Page setting.

Number of Photos Per Page - Choose between 1 and 9 photos per page. More photos per page means smaller individual images.

Joe Medosch's recommendation: 6 photos per page. This provides a good balance between photo size (large enough to see detail) and page count (keeps the report concise).

Include BluVac Report - Toggle ON to include BluVac evacuation data when available. If you performed a vacuum evacuation using a BluVac gauge, the evacuation report (decay test, final vacuum level, time stamps) appends to the PDF.

Include Measurement Range Indicators - Toggle ON to show colored range indicators (green, yellow, red) next to measurements in the report. These visual cues help homeowners understand whether values are in acceptable range without needing to interpret raw numbers.

Joe Medosch's recommendation: ON. Range indicators are one of the most effective tools for communicating results to homeowners. Green means good; red means attention needed. This saves explanation time and increases customer confidence.

Step 5: Configure Report Theme and Cloud Saving

Theme - Choose Light or Dark.

  • Light - White background, standard layout. Prints well on paper and is easy to read on screens.
  • Dark - Dark background with light text. Visually distinctive but uses more ink when printed.

Joe Medosch's recommendation: Light. More professional appearance and better for printing.

Save to Cloud - Toggle ON to automatically save generated PDF reports to the measureQuick cloud. Reports saved to the cloud are accessible from cloud.measurequick.com and can be retrieved, re-shared, or downloaded at any time.

Joe Medosch's recommendation: ON. Cloud-saved reports provide a permanent backup and allow office staff or managers to access reports without the technician's device.

Why Administrators Should Lock Report Settings

Joe Medosch recommends that administrators lock both the Report Settings and Report Choices sections at the company level. This is one of the few settings categories where company-wide locking is specifically advised.

Why lock reports?

  • Every technician's report looks the same, reinforcing your brand
  • Homeowners receive consistent documentation regardless of which technician performs the work
  • Required sections (photos, range indicators, cover page) cannot be accidentally disabled
  • New technicians do not need to configure report settings - they are pre-set

How to lock:

  1. Open Settings > Company-Wide Settings (admin roles only).
  2. Toggle the lock for Report Settings and Report Choices to ON.
  3. Technicians will see "[Managed by Company]" and cannot modify these settings.

This can also be done from cloud.measurequick.com > Settings > Company-Wide Settings.

Tips & Common Issues

My company logo is not appearing on reports

The company logo must be uploaded via cloud.measurequick.com, not through the app directly. Log in with an admin account, navigate to Company settings, and upload the logo. After uploading, open the app and tap Settings > mQ Account > Refresh Account Info to pull the updated logo.

The report looks different from my coworker's report

If report settings are not locked company-wide, each technician can configure their own report preferences. Ask your Service Manager or Company Admin to lock Report Settings and Report Choices in Company-Wide Settings for consistency.

Basic Free vs. Subscription report - what is the difference?

The Basic Free report includes core test data and pass/fail results. The Subscription report adds your company logo, Vitals Score with letter grade, full measurement detail layout, range indicators, profile photo, and additional branding options. Subscription reports require Premier Services ($49/user/month).

Photos are missing from my report

Confirm that Include Photo Page(s) is toggled ON. Also verify that photos were taken within the project (not in a separate camera app). Photos must be captured through measureQuick's photo feature or attached to the project to appear on the report.

Best practices for professional reports

  • Upload a high-resolution company logo (PNG or JPG, at least 300px wide)
  • Use a professional profile photo (headshot, clean background)
  • Set photos per page to 6 for balanced readability
  • Keep range indicators ON to help homeowners understand results
  • Save all reports to the cloud for long-term access and backup
