Probes do not show up when I click "Add" or "Scan" in the Toolbox
Android only. A common issue on Android devices is that Bluetooth and location permissions get turned off after an OS update, or were never enabled for measureQuick. If your probes are not showing up when you tap Add or Scan, check your device permissions:
- Go to the Settings menu on your device (not the settings inside the mQ app).
- Tap Apps.
- Find and tap measureQuick HVAC.
- Tap Permissions.
- Make sure all permissions are set to "Allow" or "While using the app," particularly Nearby Devices and Location. If you prefer to limit permissions, start by enabling all of them, connect your probes, and complete a full project to confirm everything works. Then disable permissions one at a time to see which are required.
- Look for a "Pause app activity if unused" setting at the bottom of the Permissions page. Turn it off. This can automatically revoke permissions if you have not opened mQ recently.
- Close Settings, return to measureQuick, and try scanning again.
Once your probes appear, you can map them to measurements in the Toolbox.
