Managing a school account

Adding Users

For users we suggest creating generic user accounts like mq1@wctc.edumq2@wctc.edu, etc... Then as classes come through, you can assign an account to students for the year. At the end of the year, please change their passwords.

Tools

measureQuick does allow for manual entry, but if you're looking for tools that would be good for teaching with, we recommend JB Climate Class probes. They beacon a signal which allows anyone to simultaneously connect to them. They also have the best integration with our software. You can turn them all on or off from 1 button in mQ. If you decide to purchase a different brand that works with measureQuick, be sure to look for a brand that beacons a Bluetooth signal. This will ensure your students ability to connect to the probes as a class.

Teaching with mQ

  1. Once you have the tool kit and an account set up. You can apply Demo Data to simulate a malfunction or proper operating system. You can even create your own. You can find the Demo Data options under Settings in the application.

  2. We recommend also utilizing System View in the app. This will allow students to see in real time how each component of a system relates to each other.

Disclaimers & Policy

We simply ask that at the end of each year please be sure to deactivate student accounts or change passwords. Allowing only active students access to the software. We appreciate your compliance with this request. Violation of this policy could result in the school losing their free subscription services.
